Transportation Investments and Low-Income Communities

This work focuses on identifying the assets that make impoverished areas resilient and how these assets can best be accessed.  Transportation investments in low-income areas can be thought of as a type of upgrading, in which the government, community and businesses come together to improve the quality of life for the urban poor. Increasing mobility through transportation investments helps lower-income population gain more access to assets within the city.
